WIW: New sweater

I have been loving the range and variety of knitwear out there this year. Here's the debut of a new sweater. It's a fine gauge merino, so I likely will be able to wear it indoors all summer in the arctic A/C at work, and it will be perfect for spring. I think it will look good with my new Zara pencil skirt too.

It's a men's small, so it is slightly fluid on me. I wanted to try a medium, but they didn't have one. This colour I ordinarily would never have chosen in a million years, except that I tried hot pink for October, and kind of liked it to my surprise!

Sweater: Joe Fresh
T, jeans: Gap
Belt: Bootlegger
Boots: Dr Martens Phina

Wow, Ceit, I love that sweater, the color is gorgeous on you too. Hmmm, heading to the Superstore later ... men's section you say ... have you washed it yet; how did it do? I have been burned a few times with Joe stuff.

Anyways looks great - really fresh!

It's 100% merino wool, I intend to wash it in cold on gentle and lay flat to dry. Yes, men's section!

Great combo, and one of my favorite fabrications. I am really hunting down more fine-gauge merino tops in basic colors (neutrals and selected brights)  and trying to see which ones stand the test of time (washing, pilling), because I can see them working for 3 seasons here. Smart buy!

I do like men's V neck sweaters.  The necks are usually high and the fit is more boxy.

  • Thistle replied 10 years ago

How did you decide to look in the men's section? It is an amazing find. It looks great on you. Both color and fit are perfect. What made you look in the men's section? Did it take you long to find what you were looking for?

  • Debora replied 10 years ago

I'm loving that raspberry color on you, and so smart of you to shop the men's section. You look amazing, as always!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 10 years ago

Great version of Angie's Spring fluid look! I like the color and the way you've toughened it up with those serious boots. The belt caught my eye, too--I can't quite make out the design, but I really like the look of it, and it provides a subtle bit of interest in keeping with the whole outfit.
