WIW: Purple!

This will not be everyone's cup of tea but I am having fun.

I would normally have worn tall boots with this but I figured I would change things up with skinnies + shoes and get a little out of my comfort zone (plus at least try and be a little seasonal even though my office is a meat locker). These purple skinnies keep flip-flopping into donate but they are so soft and comfortable they keep coming back.

All comments welcome! I have the matching pencil skirt to this top and I need to bust out a two-piece dress look with it soon.

    Ceit, this is beautiful. I love how the color and pattern play together. I like the way these pants fit...and I think the shirt is absolutely fabulous on you. Lovely outfit....definitely my cup of tea!

    Are you kidding? This is sensational on you! LOVE it!! The juxtaposition of the lacy top with the brogues is wonderful. You are making me wish I bought this when it was available. Stunning.

    I am enamored of this look from head to toe.  The funky lace with the brogues has me over the moon.  Love it all.  You look great in those colors, Ceit.

    So fun! I love the switch up to shoes with this. Gives the lacy top just the right touch of tomboy. Why do the skinnies keep going to the purge pile?

    Looks great, Ceit. So happy you've kept some purple in your life. I love it that your pretty top serves double duty with a matching skirt (now, I want to see that, too!) and that you're working out of your comfort zone. (Wish you could warm your meat locker up, though.)

    Never thought I'd see you sporting lace -- to work, no less -- and purple!  Love the look, particularly your awesome tonal combination.  I will need smelling salts if you post the two part dress version!

    Great outfit, Ceit! I love the lacy top with the brogues. Is that a half-cami under the top? It's such a pretty and modern look.

    The skinnies keep going to donate as they are very skinny and purple. I keep questioning if they perform enough of a role in my closet. Every time I decide they should go, however, I always end up grabbing them because they are very soft and don't bag out.

    Yes, I am wearing a crop top underneath it. A bit cheeky but ok in my office environment (my direct boss wears similar clothes so I asked her if this was ok).

    I think your purple-on-purple look is hip, modern and fabulous.  As the author of The Joy of Cooking once wrote in regard to an orange cake with orange filling and orange icing:  "Earrings for an elephant, and no apologies!"
