WIW: Olive and Black

For once I actually had the components to do one of Angie's ensembles without even needing to think about it.

RATE as always. I swear these pants aren't as rumply in real life. I was going to roll these and wear them with my Doc oxfords, but I forgot to bring them to work, so I just used my old faithful Fryes.

Lemming jacket: Spiegel
Top, pants: Gap
Belt: H&M
Boots: Frye Engineer 8R

I like the rumple! Top and pants look terrific. Jacket looks heavy for indoor wear, but it is probably really cold there.

  • Neel replied 9 years ago

The rumply pants add to the RATE factor which you do really well. I love this combo and you nailed Angie's ensemble :-)

Great jacket!  I like the stripes and olive pants.

Nice rendition of Olive, black and white!

Love your style. And this is a great combo on you too!

shevia: It may look heavy, but the warmth is really appreciated! It is a soft thin drapey kind of jacket, so I am sure in person it works a little better. Soon I can wear it as outerwear!

Neel: Thank you so much, I am chagrined sometimes seeing all the pretty polished looks on this forum but have decided to just embrace the RATE!

Sara, Mona, citygirldc, kkards, lisap: Thank you so much!

    Superb. Absolutely perfect.

Looks great rate to me! :-)

It's warmed up here considerably after a slightly longer, colder winter than many expected.

It is great to see you back and Fab as ever Ceit!
Still love that leather jacket- I should have sourced one out when they were available- a long-term HEWI for me.

    rachy: thank youuuu!

texstyle: If you google "Rick Mercer Plus One" there's a comedy sketch that illustrates how everyone has been acting here :)

Lyn: What size are you? If this will fit you, I will mail it to you! It's a fun jacket but I am ready to pass it on.

AM and Ruth: Thank you so much!

More jacket love here (I don't know how I missed that lemming bandwagon!). Your rendition of Angie's ensemble is super fab!

I like how the shirt tucked in, yet sleeves and back peeking out, is such a great balance. The pants are just the right amount of baggy. Cute!

    Thanks Karie and annabelle!

I admire your ability to wear the nautical-ish Breton stripe with moto items! Very cool, and it really lightens up the edgy stuff for Spring. Cool as always.

  • Tanya replied 9 years ago

Great interpretation, especially like the mix of stripes and moto items. I also wore somewhat similar outfit with my lemming jacket that I need to post.

  • replied 9 years ago

Great look and I agree with Shevia and Neel: I like the rumple. It echoes the stripe on the top and adds an intentional touch to my eye.
